From 2256 to 2257, the brutal conflict of The Federation–Klingon War left scars that have yet to completely heal. Though a fragile peace endures, it remains strained, compounded by the looming and persistent danger of the Gorn Hegemony and other galactic threats.
Cold-blooded, relentless, and deeply territorial, the Gorn have entrenched themselves across large portions of the Beta Quadrant and continue to press their claws further into the flesh of the Alpha Quadrant. Their assault on the Federation colony at Parnassus Beta in 2259 signaled that open conflict that continues to spread.
In the aftermath of these events, the Arcadia enters a new chapter. Now 2261, the ship’s continuing mission is entrusted to Captain William H. Abernathy, a seasoned officer whose career in security and command has been defined by preparation, restraint, and resolve. Under his leadership, the Arcadia resumes her role as a stabilizing presence during an uncertain era.
Tasked with continuing on its five-year mission, the Arcadia works to bridge relationships within the Federation and among its allies, strengthen the Federation's defensive readiness, provide aid and relief to worlds still recovering from war, and safeguard the Federation's interests without surrendering its ideals.

Mission: Forgotten Wounds
Posted on Thu Jul 30th, 2026 @ 4:51pm by Lieutenant Commander Sabastian Walker
ON:
The darkness was replaced by the sounds of machines and the scent of antiseptic. He’d been in enough sickbays to know when he was in one. Sabastian also knew that opening his eyes suddenly would hurt so he took his time, tested his memory. The last thing he remembered was being questioned rather…enthusiastically by a rather large Klingon. He must have passed out or more likely, been knocked out.
Sabastian suppressed a moan as he took stock of his limbs. Hands, worked, feet, worked, legs worked, arms moving, neck okay. He then slowly opened his eyes only to come…

Mission: Blade of Deceit
Posted on Wed Jul 29th, 2026 @ 2:24pm by Captain William Abernathy & Lieutenant Commander Elyse White & Lieutenant K’Var & Lieutenant Malcom Hunt & Lieutenant JG Karri & Lieutenant JG Aiden Poe
The USS Arcadia had surged through the last turbulent layers of the Class 9 nebula with her shields crackling faintly as residual ionized particles washed across the hull. It was a calculated move, one that Captain Abernathy needed to make given the Klingon battlecruiser had a time advantage. It had taken the Arcadia a while to realize the deception; Lieutenant Commander Walker had not died in the line of duty. He had been abducted. Behind the Arcadia lay a trail no prudent starship would have chosen willingly. Ahead lay a far greater risk, encountering the Klingons and calling them out…

Mission: Blade of Deceit
Posted on Wed Jul 29th, 2026 @ 2:22pm by Captain William Abernathy & Lieutenant Commander Oscar McDonald MD
Captain Bill Abernathy will have the Klingons exactly where he wanted them if his plan went well, the Arcadia would have the upper hand momentarily at least. A few well targeted shots would disable the battlecruiser's engines. They would prevent it from crossing the border, but it would only leave them a short period of time to retrieve Lieutenant Commander Walker. Bill knew that this would have to result in Klingon diplomacy - torpedoes, disruptors, phasers, and bat'leth. Blood would be spilt. There was only a marginal chance of Federation tactics of peaceful negotiations towards a resolution.
He also knew…

Mission: Forgotten Wounds
Posted on Mon May 4th, 2026 @ 3:04pm by Lieutenant Commander Oscar McDonald MD & Lieutenant Chloe O'Connor MD
This was the eye of the storm. The calm quiet which had settled merely a precursor to the potential danger looming on the horizon like the darkest of clouds.
Triage of the rescued passengers and crew was completed, the intensive preparation paying dividends when the shuttles full of men, women and children began returning to the Arcadia. Every member of his team had executed their duties with faultless professionalism, ensuring those in greatest need were given priority while even the most minor injuries were tended to quickly. Ensign Millar had even put on an impromptu magic show and was currently…

Mission: Forgotten Wounds
Posted on Mon Apr 27th, 2026 @ 6:32pm by Lieutenant JG Aiden Poe & Captain William Abernathy
ON:
They were going to get Sabastian back. That was all that mattered. Poe kept focus on that as the room filed its way out. Abernathy had asked him to stay behind. He got a glare from Eli telling him to behave. He knew enough to do so, but that still didn't make him less mad at the Captain.
Bill had requested Poe to stay behind for several reasons, namely because it did not take a Betazoid to read between the pulses of emotion. "Poe, I cannot begin to put into words the emotions that I understand you are going…

ON:
I awoke with is name on my lips yet again. It had been only weeks since the last dream. Dreams of his woodsy and floral sent of orange blossom and bergamot. A sent that surrounded me for a while until a purple eyed demon took him from me.
Tossing the covers back I perched on the edge of the bed for a moment before walking towards the desk that held my new orders. Finally, a break. I had been trying to get myself back to where he was for years and just when I decided to quit and storm…

Tanina stood beneath the canopy of fairy lights strung between the old olive trees, her hand resting lightly on Dario’s arm. The warm breeze carried the laughter and music from the dance floor, blending with the scents of lavender and the faint tang of wine from the surrounding vineyards. Her eyes found Adrianna and Vance among the dancers, their movements fluid and effortless as if they had been made for each other.
“She’s beautiful,” Dario said softly, his voice low and filled with pride.
Tanina glanced at him, a tender smile curving her lips, “She is. More beautiful than I…

Posted on Wed Jul 16th, 2025 @ 3:52pm by Lieutenant Adrianna Baciami
The Baciami family vineyard glowed under the warm embrace of the late afternoon sun. Rows of vines stood proudly, the leaves rustling gently in the breeze as though whispering secrets of love and legacy. In her childhood bedroom, Adrianna stood before a full length mirror, suddenly feeling quite nervous. The delicate lace of her wedding gown glowed softly in the light streaming through the open window. It had been carefully preserved, tucked away for decades– Tanina’s wedding dress, now hers.
The old wooden door creaked open. Adrianna turned to see her mother step inside, a bouquet of lavender, rosemary and…

My Vance,
This is the last letter I’ll write to you before I become your wife.
I wanted to tell you that the promise I made to you years ago, when you gave up trying to kiss me-- I've not gone through with it. I've not told the officiant to change the wording of the ceremony from ‘you may now kiss the bride' to 'you may now stare longingly and awkwardly at the bride from a respectable distance’.
Anyway, by the time you read this, I’ll be hours away from walking down the aisle, ready to stand before the man…

*** Some Years Ago ***
The party had finally ended, and the villa was silent. The hum of celebration, the clinking of glasses, and the warmth of family laughter had faded into the hush of the countryside. Adrianna’s family had gone to bed, their joy giving way to the heavy stillness of sleep. All but Giovanni, who stood on the balcony, his broad frame silhouetted against the silver glow of the moon. He held a ring box in his hand, turning it idly as his dark eyes scanned the vineyard stretching endlessly below.
Adrianna found him there, her footsteps were…
